For current students; thanks for your patience! As some of you know the TV crew arrives this weekend so we have a sub for all martial arts and wilderness classes hosted by LOTSWild for the next month. I'm basically incommunicado. It's a wild trip let me tell you....We will be working every day pretty much all day for the next 3-4 weeks filming a variety of Appalachian life elements; hunting, gathering, preserving, water works, ram pumps, weapons, power, fuels and foods, medicine, meade, other such things (LOL), nut oil extraction, knife making, bartering, and more. Some a bit silly, some very serious. I don't know if you will be able to watch it since it's being filmed in 3d (???). but perhaps they will broadcast a 2d version I don't really know. I'll have more details for you as things solidify and become clearer. Just keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks all and much LOVE, Spencer
Hart's Square, the nation's largest living history festival featuring frontier and 1800's Appalachian culture, will be held this month on Oct 22nd. Over 275 presenters, including yours truly, will be offering recreated skills and crafts on a campus with 60 reconstructed historical cabins. I am located in the Cherokee area/native lore, with a bark house - a popular attraction for many years! $25 tickets go to the Hart's Square Foundation and are available here http://www.catawbahistory.org/hart_square.php
Tickets are usually sold out and limited to 3,000. I WILL TAKE ONE HELPER for FREE!!!! Your duties will include helping me unload a small amount of gear, taking some photos, and otherwise exploring the event on your own, perhaps with a radio in case I need you :D Awesome chance - we'll leave early like 6am or something and return early afternoon as I have a gig that day :O MSG me!!!
